Based God (Warning Explicit Content)

He is relevant because he has changed the culture of hip hop. This project is about a bay area based rapper names Lil b aka Based God Although he does not have any worthy lyrics and his now where close to the level of Jay z or nas millions of people love hime and quote all of his words. Is music caused controversy when he released his album I’m Gay. Lil b says he used the word as saying he is happy, but received death threats after the release. Lil b is the biggeset part of the new trend of rappers that wear skinny jeans and snapbacks and are covered in tatoos. I believe lil b is both a builder and a critc. You can say lil b is a builder because he a sterotype rapper that is stupid and smokes too much weed. Or you can say he is a critic because he dresses weird and has an album called I’m Gay. He also made more controversey when he released the song look like Jesus.

Lil b made his debut when he was a member of the short lived berkeley based rap group called the Pack. When the group split up in 2010 lil b went to pursue a solo career. In 2010 lil b released 1,500 tracks on his various myspace accounts. In July of 2010 lil b released his now most popular song called wonton soup.

Lil b has shown the dominant ideology that most rapeers are not smart and do drugs and rap about having sex with women. I have no idea why he has gained so much popularity with his mediocre lyrics and terrible beats. Lil b is popular in the the new phase of hip hop and with the young high school to college generation. His lyrics in his most popular song wonton soup show his mediocre skills with his lyrics (warning explicit).

I totally agree with you lil b isnt the most talented rapper in the industry but I would give him some credit (very little). His lyrics are mediocre, but I dont agree with what you said "most rappers do drugs and arent smart." Lil wayne (well-known rapper) is a harvard graduate with multiple degrees.

I agree with both of you guys. Lil B is not talented at ALL! And his ignorance makes him even more not attractive and his music sucks even more. I agree with Brandon about the educated rapper because I know of plenty of rappers who are educated and their music reflects that.
