Lil Wayne (Content may contain explicit material)

Lil Wayne is one of the top hip/hop artists in the world today. Because all his songs have to do with smoking marijuana, having sex and gang related material, he has had a major influence on kids everywhere good and bad. His hype has increased even more now that his anticipated album has finally come out, Tha Carter 4. This hype has been accumulating ever since his big hit in Tha Carter 3 and his recent mix tape Sorry for the wait, referring to the pushed back Tha Carter 4. Lil Wayne is one of the most listened rapper the US today. He believes in the ideology that anyone can be born poor and be successful later on in life, also called rags to riches.

Because he had no father to tell him what to do, Lil Wayne was a poor child who only went to school only if he felt like it. Although he earned straight A’s in honors classes he felt that studying was not for him, so he joined Cash Money Records at the age of nine. He started rapping with other people to be recognized. After receiving recognition he created one of the most popular rap groups today, Young Money.

A lot of people try to become rappers when they are young because they see the big rappers talking about making so much money, while they really are, people don’t know how hard it is to do that. But the thing is Lil Wayne, tells you that you can make it big if you are poor, and he shows it by giving an example of himself.

I love this blog, it's one of my favorite blogs because you are absolutely right. Lil Wayne ha painted the rags to riches picture and alot of young people look up to him. And I also understand how that can be a bad thing because he also talks about alot of other stuff too. But good job tho.
