Tribal Seeds: Warrior

Tribal Seeds is a Southern California based reggae band. They are part of a trend that is trying to show people, through music, that materialism isn't the key to happiness. The band is a critic trying to squash the ideology of materialism. They are trying to send a message to the youth that theres more to life than bragging about having this and that or boasting about how awsome you are. Tribal Seeds are trying to break the bond between materialism and happiness that has been put on society.



The reggae band was started by two brothers who grew up in Southern California. Their music is greatly influenced by Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, and Midnite, who are also reggae bands. The band was started in 2006 and since then have dropped three albums all with great sucess. They are just finishing up their 2011 tour in the next few months. They are a spiritually driven group that has created an art form of rebel music.



Tribal Seeds released an album titled "Youth Rebellion". This albums goal was to send a positive message to the youth. They want to change what the youth value, becuase we are tuaght to live a "materialistic happy" life. We see in our society, on T.V. and through music, that happiness comes from what you have or own and also from being number one. Tribal Seeds want to inspire us to forget this ideology and live good lives knowing the bad things we do will come back to huant us one way or another. There is a song from this album called "Warrior". In the song it says, "Babylon tries to threaten innocent but we nah afraid So let them have their riches and gold and set upon their throne Jah word is power, his strength is unknown, unknown." This is saying society threatens the innocent and we should let those materialistic people sit on their so called "thrones" and let them live that way, but we should stick to our own beleifs and our strength is powerful. The message they send is strong and we should really listen to it and branch out from the ideology of materialism society has brought upon us.
